The name says everything.
BéKa Studio is named after two little girls. Bé is Beatriz. Ka is Francisca, Kika to everyone who loves her. They are the reason this studio exists, and the reason everything we build is made with care.
Their mother, Inês, is a certified accountant turned creative entrepreneur, based in Lisbon. She spent years working in finance and audit before deciding that beautiful, well-built things were what she actually wanted to spend her days making. So she made that choice, and she has not looked back.
BéKa Studio sits at the intersection of two worlds: the rigour and precision of financial thinking, and the warmth and craft of design. When we build your website, set up your Shopify store or create your business assets, we think about what it costs you not to have it, and we make sure that what we deliver is worth every cent and every day you waited for it.
Every website we build today is the result of a process refined through real mistakes. The misaligned layouts, the slow load times, the animations that felt good in theory and jarring in practice. We have made all of them, learned from every single one, and built a fully optimised procedure that accounts for each of them. Our clients do not pay to be the learning curve. They get the version that comes after it.

The BéKa Studio website you are looking at right now was not built in an afternoon. It went through more than 200 individual corrections and improvements — performance fixes, accessibility compliance, a full Stripe payment integration, a Shopify connection with live cart and checkout, a Sunday Morning pattern shop with 100 colourways and a complete licence system, animated introductions, a post-purchase email flow, a newsletter system, a review platform, six service booking flows with retainer upsells and a payment structure that handles three separate stages per project. Every single decision on this site was made deliberately, tested, broken, fixed and made again.
That process is what expertise actually looks like. Not a certificate or a portfolio of client work, but the accumulated understanding of what happens when you push a tool to its limits, make every possible mistake and figure out how to get the result you had in your head. We built this site for ourselves, which meant we could take risks, change direction and refuse to settle. The result is something we are genuinely proud of, and it is exactly the standard we bring to every client project.
